Twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques of Monaco did not have your typical first trip to Paris. Beyond exploring the beautiful European city, the three-year-olds had a very special tea date – with the First Lady of France! Their mom Princess Charlene took her two little ones to Brigitte Macron’s official residence, and by the look of the Instagram photos she shared on Wednesday (Nov. 14) they had a tres chic time!
The Monegasque royal shared a series of adorable photos on Instagram of her twin children exploring Élysée Palace, the luxurious home where Brigitte lives with her husband, President Emmanuel Macron, and their sweet rescue dog, a black Labrador named Nemo. She captioned the series: “Our twin’s first trip to Paris and tea with Madame Macron.” The royal kids got to meet the pup, along with wandering the palace hallways and getting a view of the residence’s lush green backyard. It’s safe to say that Jacques, dressed handsomely in a small grey two-piece suit, and Gabriella, in a sweet white dress, enjoyed a Paris debut that’s one for the books!
The chic First Lady showed off her natural charm with children as a former teacher, getting down on her knees to chat with the kids. Jacques carried around his Spider-Man plush doll during the visit, proving that while he may be royal he’s still your typical little kid. The twins have another exciting event coming up next month – their fourth birthdays! On Dec. 10, the two blond cuties will ring in their fourth year, likely with some new adorable portraits, as have been released in previous years to celebrate.
The family was in town for an important political reason – to commemorate the centenary of World War I, just as the British royals did over the weekend. On Tuesday (Nov. 13), the French politician and Charlene joined forces at the Chateau de Versailles for the Head of State’s Partner Luncheon. For the commemorative day, the two women both wore the chicest of outfits, with Brigitte in an olive-green pantsuit and Charlene donning black-and-white houndstooth, a bold red lip and a large black bow adorned to her sweater. Though Remembrance services are not about fashion, of course, the somber event also brought out the best in style from the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex, with Kate in London wearing a smart Alexander McQueen military inspired coat and Meghan in a simple black coat dress and matching hat.
