The Sussexes, the Cambridges and more royals arrive at Buckingham Palace for Prince Charles' birthday bash

Prince Charles and Camilla
The birthday boy and his leading lady arrived on the scene in a chauffeured car for the glittering gala in his honour, hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. The Prince of Wales turns 70 today (Nov. 14) and will mark the occasion with family and fellow European royals like Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary, and Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit. Charles wore a dashing tuxedo while Camilla, 71, looked gorgeous in a navy gown paired with a diamond necklace and earrings. The prince's children, Prince William and Kate and Prince Harry and Meghan have joined the festivities and his siblings Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward will fete their brother at the formal dinner along with their children and more royal family members.
The Queen gave a rare and touching speech, remarking on how amazing it is to see her son turn 70 and that her mother was there when she marked the same milestone. She also praised her eldest, saying: "Over his 70 years, Philip and I have seen Charles become a champion of conservation and the arts, a great charitable leader — a dedicated and respected heir to the throne to stand comparison with any in history — and a wonderful father. Most of all, sustained by his wife Camilla, he is his own man, passionate and creative. So this toast is to wish a happy birthday to my son, in every respect a duchy original."

The Duchess of Cambridge also recycled her gorgeous earrings for the evening, thought to be from her personal collection. The massive drop earrings with pink stones were the perfect compliment to her one-shoulder pink lace gown, which she wore with a smoky eye, pink lip and elegant updo. Prince William was behind the wheel in his dapper tux.
