Fans were delighted to get another glimpse of adorable Prince Louis in the two portraits released to mark Prince Charles' 70th birthday - and while the six-month-old's million-dollar smile melted hearts the world over, his resemblance to mom Kate has also caught the eye of royal watchers. In a newly unearthed photo of the Duchess of Cambridge as a baby, she looks identical to her youngest child!
A side-by-side image comparing baby Kate and her little one, posted on the Daily Mail, shows that they share their deep brown 'Middleton eyes,' inquisitive brow and pouty bottom lip, plus a dusting of dark brown hair. In the 1983 photo of the baby duchess, she wears a white t-shirt with green accents on the sleeves as she sits in her stroller and looks inquisitively at the camera, showing off that same furrowed brow. And even while posing in his mother's loving arms, the similarities are clear to see!
The fifth-in-line to the throne also shares some of his siblings' features - adorably full cheeks and dark eyes. But that doesn't mean Prince William is left out of the picture! In his little white collared shirt and baby blue shorts, Prince Louis was a sartorial twin to his dad, who wore a very similar outfit when he posed with Princess Diana and Prince Charles at Kensington Palace in 1983.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson was behind the camera in September when the family posed in the gardens of Clarence House - and he somehow managed to get all the children smiling for the camera. "I was delighted to have been asked to take these official portraits of The Prince of Wales surrounded by his family to celebrate the important milestone of his 70th Birthday," he said, before adding that he was just as thrilled to take what is perhaps the most candid photo of the family yet. "It was particularly special to capture such an informal and relaxed family portrait over a fun afternoon!"
