Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall have been busy bees this year, from their tour of West Africa to their hosting duties at Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding. So, it’s lovely for royal watchers to see them enjoying a moment to themselves on the grounds of their home for their 2018 Christmas card photo. Released on the same day as those of the Cambridge and Sussex families, the couple could give lessons on the look of love in the sweet in the Clarence House snap.
Shortly after celebrating his milestone 70 th birthday, the future King and his wife shared the heartwarming photo to their official Twitter account. The card lovingly reads, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.” In the photograph, taken by Hugo Burnand, Camilla dazzles in a simple cream dress and matching heels – the same Fiona Clare shift she wore to Prince Louis’ christening back in July. She paired the pretty dress with her favourite multi-strand pearl necklace and cap-toe heels. Sitting side by side with her dapper suit-clad husband, the two look lovingly into each other’s eyes with their bright smiles on display. The bench appears to be the same one featured in Charles’ birthday portraits, released last month.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their adorable children, also shared a perfectly casual Christmas card photo. The coordinated quintet opted for an uncommon dress code of jeans and cozy sweaters in autumnal tones as they flashed their pearly whites for the camera – except baby Prince Louis, who’s little grin warmed the hearts of royal watchers around the globe!
Just as exciting was the release of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first-ever Christmas card! Going a less traditional route, the expecting couple released a beautiful black-and-white photo from their wedding day, previously unseen by fans, in which they’re embracing as they watch the fireworks at their evening reception. Meghan, wearing her white Stella McCartney halter gown, holds Prince Harry’s hand from behind his back as they watched the display of lights at Frogmore House.
The countdown has begun for Christmas eve, and we imagine the Cambridge kids are over the moon with excitement to be celebrating Prince Louis’ first holiday season together – and, of course, presents under the tree! Members of the Royal Family are likely to pop by Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty’s annual pre-Christmas lunch before heading to Sandringham for their annual celebrations and Christmas Day services at St Mary's Magdalene church.
