The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are getting closer and closer to welcoming Baby Sussex, but they haven't slowed down one bit. Keeping things under the radar, the royal couple attended a very special event on Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 22) – to judge the annual Endeavour Fund Awards. It's an event that's very close to their hearts as it was one of their first outings before they said "I do"!
Last year, the dynamic duo stepped out together for the awards, to which Meghan wore a perfectly tailored suit by Alexander McQueen with a dainty black Prada clutch and a pair of black Manolo Blahnik pumps. Though the judging event steered clear of the limelight, it's possible that the parents-to-be will once again head out for the awards night itself, which is expected to take place in February – just a few months away from the arrival of their first bundle of joy!
Back in 2018, the charity released a statement regarding their outing: "His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle joined people from the armed forces community to celebrate the achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women who have taken part in remarkable sporting and adventure challenges over the last year. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle first attended a pre-ceremony reception where they met the inspiring nominees, as well as endeavour participants and key supporters of the Endeavour Fund. They then attended the awards ceremony, where three prizes were awarded."
The Endeavour Fund, created by the Royal Foundation in 2012, is a cause born of the Royal Family's deep care for the mental health and wellbeing of servicemen and women. As royal watchers know, Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games, too – an annual sports event that puts a spotlight on wounded veterans and their incredible athletic ability (which marked Meghan and Harry's official public debut as a couple in 2017!).
