As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex near the birth of their first child, the expectant mom isn’t slowing down one bit – and the proof is in her next back-to-back outings! Starting Wednesday (Jan. 30), the duchess will be paying visits to two of her cherished new patronages as well as taking her baby bump to a new city with her husband, Prince Harry.
The former actress will head to London’s National Theatre for her first-ever outing with the organization as its official patron. Given her love for the arts, Meghan must be over the moon with excitement to finally start working with the publicly funded venue – especially considering she met with its director Rufus Norris in secret in December 2018.
She’ll be following up the artsy outing with a visit to another one of her patronages, the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Education and women’s empowerment are causes very close to Duchess Meghan’s heart (remember her speech on the importance of education while on royal tour in Fiji?), and she’s already had a surprise meeting with the association at Kings College London last year, too.
Finally, royal watchers – eager to see Meghan and Harry out together again – will be delighted to know that the Sussexes are heading to Bristol together on Friday (Feb. 1)! It’ll be a wonderful day in the south-western city, where the parents-to-be will take part in a walkabout and visit organizations that help support the local community.
It’s set to be the perfect combination of arts, athletics and giving back, including a visit to Bristol’s Old Vic theatre and the Empire Fighting Chance, a boxing club that helps empower local youth. The club helps instill important values – like discipline, respect, self-control, identity and a feeling of belonging and pride – in their beneficiaries.
