It turns out the Dukeand Duchess of Sussex will spend their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple in different countries. Kensington Palace revealed on Twitter that PrinceHarry will be in Norway attending Exercise Clockwork, an annual military training exercise that takes place in the Arctic Circle.

"The Duke of Sussex, Captain General of the Royal Marines, will visit Exercise Clockwork to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the operation in Bardufoss, Norway on Thursday 14th February,” the palace tweeted. "The Duke of Sussex will meet military personnel living and training on the base, view some of the specialist outdoor severe weather equipment and training that is conducted at Clockwork and talk with expert aircrews and engineers."

It’s not yet known what the DuchessMeghan will do, though she’s been openly vocal about her love of the special day in the past. On her old site The Tig, she once wrote: “Hook, line and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day. Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I'm immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss. This is all happening in black and white, of course. And in Paris, if I had my way.”

Though she wasn’t in Paris, it’s believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent Valentine’s Day in 2018 in Scotland. They were in Edinburgh on Feb. 13 attending a variety of engagements into the evening. “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle will visit Edinburgh on 13th February, where they will attend engagements at @edinburghcastle, local social enterprise @SocialBite_, and a reception celebrating youth achievement to mark Scottish Year of Young People at the Palace of Holyroodhouse,” Kensington Palace tweeted.

They celebrated their first Feb. 14 together in 2017 with a low-key evening in at Kensington Palace. “Harry and Meghan are together at Kensington Palace,” an insider reportedly told Us of how the couple marked the day. “Tonight, she and Harry are staying in for Valentine’s.”
