Prince William and Kate help open art museum in Dundee for their first joint engagement of the year

It's turning out to be a busy week for the British royals! Leading up to three back-to-back appearances by Duchess Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have set out their first joint engagement of 2019 on Jan. 29.
It's been three years since their last visit to the Scottish city of Dundee, and to celebrate the couple are helping open the V&A Museum – the first of its kind in Dundee. They're also set to meet with Michelin Dundee plant workers to discuss the future affects of the plant's closure in 2020, which will results in over 800 job losses.

The two looked fresh and happy as ever to be in Dundee, smiling and waving at their adoring fans who were eagerly awaiting their arrival this morning.

The Cambridge couple made quite the dapper duo, with William looking handsome in a navy-blue suit and tie, and Kate looking no further than one of her go-to styles, the coat dress. She recycled her blue-and-green Alexander McQueen tartan, paired with opaque black tights and suede pumps. She also carried a sweet green handbag for the outing.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked every inch the style star, dazzling in an appropriately tartan coat dress – one of her favourite styles. She accessorized with a pair of black gloves and drop earrings, keeping her brunette hair in her signature bouncy waves.

The couple wandered around the beautiful museum grounds alongside an official. They appeared to be in a rather animated conversation that certainly got Kate laughing!

Prince William and Kate – who are known as the Duke and Duchess of Strathearn in Scotland – attended a meeting of the Michelin Action Group at a community centre in Dundee after meeting with employees and their families from the local tyre factory, which is set to close on Jan. 29.
