It looks like Prince Louis is one step closer to chasing his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. On Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed that the nine-month-old has hit a major milestone: crawling!
“Louis is a fast crawler,” Kate told eager fans outside Dundee, Scotland’s Victoria and Albert Museum, She and Prince William were in the city as part of their first joint public appearance of 2019. The adorable conversation was overheard by royal photographer Mark Stewart who promptly posted about it on Twitter.

The last update we received on little Prince Louis and his older siblings was back in November when Duchess Kate spoke to onlookers during a walkabout in Leicester. “They’re getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up. It was really sweet. And Louis’s getting big. I can’t believe he’s like seven months now. He’s getting to be a big boy."
On the same trip, Kate also spoke about the family’s excitement over Prince Harry and Meghan's pregnancy. "Yeah, absolutely, [I’m excited for Meghan and her new baby]," Kate said. "It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well as Louis so it’ll be really special."
Though Kate’s next public appearance has yet to be announced, she and Prince William will meet privately with Michelin Dundee plant workers while in Scotland. They’re expected to discuss the future effects of the plant's closure in 2020, which will impact 800 jobs.
Later this week, we’ll also get a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – and Meghan's growing baby bump! On Jan. 30, she will pay a visit to two of her cherished new patronages, then on Feb. 1 she and the Prince Harry will visit Bristol together.
