Princess Eugenie shares sweet throwback of her and mom Sarah Ferguson

By Sarah Walker

It's the perfect time of year for a snowy throwback photo! Princess Eugenie took to her Instagram to share a seasonal snap of her and her mom, Sarah Ferguson – and it's the cutest. The vintage photo shows the now 28 year old sitting on her mom's shoulders in the middle of winter.

Bundled up in snowsuits for the weather, the two were enjoying a family ski trip in Klosters, Switzerland in 1992. Though Princess Beatrice and Prince Andrew were on the vacation, they’re not pictured.

Switzerland clearly has special meaning to the newlywed royal, who frequented the country with her family as a child. Not only that, But to add to the sweet meaning Verbier, a Swiss city, also happens to be where her and her now-husband Jack Brooksbank's romance started to blossom!

The newlywed has become a bit of a prolific Instagram poster as of late. She’s shared throwback photos of her eating cotton candy as well as shots of her and her sister on a first day of school. Though she loves social media, she recently revealed to Vogue that she’s gotten in trouble for posting some images that are too personal or too revealing for her royal handlers.

"I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the palace that was off-limits to the public," she sighs before adding, “Nowadays, it's so easy to recoil when you see a perfect image on Instagram – but it's important that it's real. We're real." The “we” the princess was referring to is her sister Beatrice.

"We're each other's rocks," she told the publication. "We're the only other person in each other's lives who can know exactly what the other one is going through.” She even joked that when she was younger she would make Princess Beatrice go into events ahead of her.

"When we were younger, I always used to make her go into parties first. I'd hide behind her and she'd make the first move, then I'd get louder and louder as she made me more confident."
