Duchess Kate reveals Princess Charlotte and Prince George's favourite foods

The Duchess of Cambridge has two little budding cooks on her hands! While paying a visit to Lavender Primary School on Tuesday (Feb. 5), the mother of three revealed Prince George, 5, and three-year-old Princess Charlotte's favourite foods – and how they lend a hand in their Kensington Palace kitchen.

The doting mom was out and about to commemorate the start Children's Mental Health Week – a time of year that's very important to Kate's heart, as royal patron of the mental health awareness charity Place2Be. While chatting with some students, the topic of favourite foods naturally came up. "Charlotte loves olives," Kate shared, adding that her two eldest kids love to make a "cheesy pasta" recipe.

Though the Cambridge family has plenty of help at the palace – after all, they're a busy crew! – the kids love to help their mom when cooking their favourites, Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning trust, said. "She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her," he explained to reporters. "They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff."

Kate knows well the connection between mental health, exercise and food – and she makes it her mission to help educate children and families. "It's interesting how food and energy and how you feel work together. It's amazing the connection between physical and mental well-being," she said at the school.

But it wasn't just this knowledge she brought with her to Lavender Primary... She also brought a very special photo! A group of young kids were asked to bring in an item that makes them feel good, and the 37-year-old couldn't help but join in, too. She showed them the Cambridge family photo from Christmas last year, which features her husband, Prince William, and their three kids, including baby Prince Louis. Too cute!
