The National Portrait Gallery gala was the place to be on March 12. Aside from a guest list being absolutely star-studded, with couple Victoria and David Beckham, there was another buzzy duo who made an appearance: Princess Beatrice and her beau, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
What a perfect, glitzy evening to make things official! The 30-year-old looked lovely in a crimson belted dress. She paired the velvet number with a black clutch and matching black velvet platform pumps. Beatrice sported her signature bouncy curls, while her millionaire boyfriend looked dapper in a tuxedo.
It was the first time the couple had been spotted officially together in public. They were, however, seen at the same event in December 2018 – the Berggruen Prize Gala in New York City. Though they were pictured together, the couple were seen speaking to fellow gala goers, like Beatrice's supermodel friend Karlie Kloss.
While the event as a whole – including the Duchess of Cambridge's very glamorous appearance – was exciting, royal watchers were likely overjoyed to finally see Beatrice and Edoardo, 34, together. Edoardo is a divorcé who has a two-year-old son, Wolfie, who earned his millions as a property developer for his uber-rich clientele. In 2007, he founded a property consultancy called Banda, which means "big shed" in Swahili.
Beatrice has been in two known relationships in the past. The first was when she was 17 years old and was with New York native Paolo Liuzzo. She later dated Uber executive Dave Clark for 10 years before the couple split in 2016.
While no details are known about whether or not the two see wedding bells in their future, it’s only a matter of time before Princess Eugenie, 28, will get to return the favour of helping her sister get ready to wed. And now, royal watchers can start dreaming of yet another York family wedding!
