The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who said “I do” at St George’s Chapel on the Windsor Castle grounds in May 2018 – opened their big day to 1,200 members of the public. Most of these people had connections to charitable organizations or, in some way, positively affected their communitie. Canadian Faith Dickinson, who founded the charity Cuddles for Cancer, was among the attendees.

Aside from members of the public, Harry and Meghan’s nuptials also boasted a very A-list roster of celebrity guests, including the David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Idris Elba and fiancée Sabrina Dhowre and more. As for wedding gifts for the royal couple? They asked attendees to make donations to a selection of their favourite charities.
