What will Duchess Meghan’s baby nursery look like? Here are some predictions

By Meaghan Wray

The Duchess of Sussex is known to be quite the interior decorator. With a love for neutral colours, comfy couches, artwork and beautiful blooms, there’s no doubt Baby Sussex’s nursery will be equally chic as the rest of the couple’s home of Frogmore Cottage. Will Meghan take inspiration from her Toronto home, or will she and Prince Harry combine their tastes for a completely unique room? Here’s a look at how the royal baby’s nursery could look.

Neutrals with pops of colour

When looking back on Meghan’s Toronto home, it’s clear to see she had very specific taste. She loved to keep it clean with white, beige and grey sofas, mixed with colourful cushions. It’s likely Meghan and Harry will also want to keep the nursery simple, perhaps by decorating it with a lush, comfy chair and some colourful pillows. Cozy, of course, was Meghan’s MO, so it only makes sense Baby Sussex’s room will be just a comfortable as the rest of their home.

Lots of texture

The mom-to-be was big on mixing textures, and accented her home with live-edge wood pieces, marble and mirrored accents and vintage trunks repurposed as coffee tables. The 37-year-old also loved to drape white faux fur carpets over her chairs.

Bringing nature indoors

Prince Harry and Meghan are lovers of the great outdoors, and if Meghan’s old home in Toronto is any indication, Baby Sussex’s room with have plenty of wildlife. Peonies, leafy green plants and more are likely to be found all over the nursery and help naturally purify the air.

Safari theme, perhaps?

While chatting with HELLO! Canadarecently, Jillian Harris offered some insight into how she thinks the royal baby’s nursery will look... And it’s safari themed!

“I picture it to be like lots of warm creams and warm greys and beige and neutrals, and like obviously very regal and timeless, and I almost picture it to have like a safari theme or something,” Jillian said, perhaps being inspired by their shared love for Botswana.
