One of the most memorable moments from Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding in May 2018 was when Jessica Mulroney’s twin sons, Brian and John, held the bride’s veil as she walked in to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The shot of the two little pageboys has since become iconic, and Jessica reminisced by sharing the picture again on Instagram on Monday (April 22). “Almost a year ago… Google photo reminder,” she wrote in the post.
The proud mom’s adorable children stole the show several times during the ceremony. Daughter Ivy notably had her hands free during the ceremony and wasn’t carrying a bouquet – just so she could step in to hold Meghan’s if needed. So cute! And let’s not forget the sweet moment Brian and John arrived with Meghan, looking totally thrilled with the screaming and adoring crowds that greeted them with their mom’s good friend.
Jessica shared a throwback pic of that moment in August 2018, and it was also previously revealed that Brian was actually dropping his jaw because of all the trumpets he was hearing! He later told his dad Ben he was excited because he’d never heard one of the instruments in real life.
“There had been so much talk about getting it right with the rehearsals and these kids are so young,” Ben said of his children’s wedding roles on CTV’s Your Morning just a few days after the ceremony. “There was a lot of worry that this wouldn’t get done right, but they’re having so much fun with it. And that, to me, was the thing that gave me the most pride was that we didn’t put so much pressure on them that this wasn’t joyful for them. It was pretty darn joyful.”
