Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have welcomed many guests since moving into their new home of Frogmore Cottage earlier this month. Zara and Mike Tindall and Peter and Autumn Phillips paid them visits, according to The Sun, and Prince William and Duchess Kate were also said to have secretly snuck in some time with the expectant parents over the Easter weekend. But a new report says their first royal visitor was the head of the family herself!
Frogmore Cottage was a gift to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the Queen, and it is located in Home Park, the Royal Family’s private estate next to Windsor Castle. The monarch reportedly dropped in to see Meghan and Harry during her Easter vacation at Windsor earlier this month.
“Her Majesty wanted to formally welcome the Sussexes to their new home, so she was their first visitor,” the source told The Sun. “After all, they’ve practically moved into her back garden. She visited with other family members and Harry and Meghan were delighted to show them ‘round. The Queen was at Windsor Castle at Easter and wanted to see Meghan before she has the baby.”
Duchess Meghan has been resting at home before Baby Sussex arrives. Her mother Doria Ragland reportedly arrived in the UK last week, and has spent time with her daughter and son-in-law as they prepare for this massive life change.
In the meantime, Harry continued to show up at engagements this week, including the London Marathon on Sunday (April 28) and Thursday’s (April 25) Anzac Day service, at which he joined Kate. Both appearances were surprises, as his name was left off the guest lists since Meghan is due any day!
