Kate wears her heart on her sleeve while visiting with kids at Anna Freud National Centre

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out on Wednesday (May 1) to officially open the new Centre of Excellence at Anna Freud Centre. As a mother of three and patron of the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (since 2016!), Kate knows how important mental health resources are to families and children – and she shows this through her work.

The fashion maven absolutely dazzled in an emerald green dress by Emlia Wickstead, one of her go-to designers. She paired the look with a thin beige Mulberry clutch, which perfectly matched her beige heels.

The duchess, of course, rocked her trademark bouncy curls and a pair of her favourite Kiki McDonough earrings, along with her stunning engagement ring. As for makeup, Kate kept things simple with a lined eye and a natural lip.

This Mulberry clutch is surely one of her favourites in her collection, and features chic gold hardware.

Prince William’s wife took her spot at a round table to speak with beneficiaries of the Anna Freud Centre. We’re sure she shared some of her wisdom and hopes for the centre.

The 37-year-old also had the opportunity to meet Amy Herring, one of the centre’s Young Champions. She shares the experiences of young people to experts at the centre to help them in their work.

The royal woman also had the chance to meet with young beneficiaries of the centre. She took a look at one student’s beautiful drawing.

We would be a little shy around the Duchess of Cambridge, too!

Kate’s big heart was on display as she chatted with another student of the centre, of which she’s been a patron since 2016. The centre reaches over 1 million children in schools to try and reduce the burden of mental health difficulties children can face.
