The 72-year-old also opened up about performing at Meghan and Harry’s wedding reception at Frogmore House last year. He told the publication it was a “very casual” affair. “It was fun. They were a great audience, so I did them another song,” he said. “I was only going to do three and I did four. I added in ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ as an extra.”

The iconic singer has been close with the Royal Family for many years, since he became friends with Princess Diana, Harry and William's late mom. Elton has remained particularly close to Harry – in July 2018, the two joined forces at the 22 nd International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam. Just two months prior, Elton was spotted in the pews at St. George’s Chapel for the Sussex royal wedding on May 19.

The “Rocket Man” singer spoke to ITV about their royal romance that same year. “I spent some time with him in Sicily last summer and I could tell that he was totally in love, and he didn’t really discuss much personally but he said, 'I'm in love' and I thought, ‘Good for you,’” Elton said. “Both those boys seem to have been ecstatically happy, and that’s all you want people to be.”
