Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal baby has a lifetime of engagements and milestones ahead of him, but there’s one celebration's coming up a lot sooner than royal watchers think. As a first-time mom, the Duchess of Sussex will celebrate Mother’s Day with her bundle of joy on Sunday, May 12.
The 37-year-old has always been very close with her mom, Doria Ragland, who reportedly joined the couple leading up to the arrival of Baby Sussex on Monday (May 6). So it’s very likely the trio will get to enjoy an intergenerational celebration of motherhood... with some delicious avocado toast, tea and small chocolates, perhaps?
Prince Harry – who addressed press the day of his child’s birth – will also get his chance to celebrate with his son on Father’s Day, which falls on June 16. He’s been able to see his brother, Prince William, ring in the special day with his own kids, but it will certainly be special to celebrate with his own child.
While speaking with the press at Windsor Castle, the duke revealed he and his wife will pose with their newborn baby on Wednesday (May 8). Until then, it’s likely fans of the Royal Family will be camping out near the castle for their chance to see the newest royal baby before anyone else.
It’s set to be an exciting year for the new parents, who first shared the news of their pregnancy back in October 2018 when they landed in Australia to kick off their royal tour. Since then, royal watchers have played the waiting game, eagerly anticipating the day Harry and Meghan would debut their baby.
