Doria Ragland and the Queen star in debut Instagram photo with royal baby Archie

Royal watchers around the world were delighted to see Prince Harry and Meghandebut their newborn baby boy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, at Windsor Castle. Less than an hour later, the couple took to Instagram to share a heartwarming candid family photo, starring Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland and the baby's great-grandmother and great-grandfather, the Queen and Prince Philip.

The black-and-white photo, which also features new dad Prince Harry, has already garnered hundreds of thousands of likes from their well-wishers. The caption reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.”

The caption continued: “This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.” The gorgeous moment was captured by photographer Chris Allerton.

It’s a very special time for Doria, who became a first-time grandmother when her grandson was born on May 6. It was a similarly exciting time for the Queen, who became a great-grandmother for the eight time. It’s clear the Royal Family are smitten with the latest royal little one, and it will be an exciting time when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and their three kids, get to meet him, too.
