The world was overjoyed when Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan debuted their newborn baby boy at Windsor Castle on May 8. Now, royals fans are waiting for the next opportunity to see the proud new parents’ bundle of joy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. While it’s possible he may be spotted on social media again, there’s one occasion surely to happen in a month or two: His christening.
Two months after Prince Louis’s birth, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gathered other members of the Royal Family at St. James’s Palace for his beautiful christening. The Sussex couple were there to ring in the special day, along with the other Cambridge kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
George was also christened at St. James’s in October 2013, while Charlotte had her big day at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham in July 2015. Sandringham is where the family often celebrates in Christmas. While details of Archie’s christening aren’t known yet, it’s very likely he’ll enjoy his own special day at some point in the next couple months.
But given Harry and Meghan’s one-year wedding anniversary is coming up on May 18, it’s possible the modern royal couple will release a new, heartwarming family photo to commemorate the day. Less than a week before their anniversary, Meghan will celebrate her very first Mother’s Day as a new mom. She’ll be with her own mother, first-time grandmother Doria Ragland. It is likely to be a day full of photo opportunities and Kodak moments worthy of sharing on Instagram (just like Archie’s social media debut with the Queen, Prince Philip and Doria).

As far as official portraits go, the Cambridge couple decided to wait a bit, releasing the first ones of Prince George a month after his birth in July 2013. Back then, they shared a gorgeous photo captured by Michael Middleton, Kate’s dad. In May 2015, they also released portraits of Princess Charlotte, snoozing soundly in her big brother’s arms. But with Louis, they waited only two weeks to reveal snaps of him with his big sister, taken by photographer Duchess Kate.
While the world awaits another glimpse of the latest royal baby, it’s certain the photos from St. George’s Hall on May 8 are still touching hearts across the globe. Harry and Meghan looked the picture of happy new parents as they gleamed happily down on their little boy and chatted with press that day.
