New dad Prince Harry gets a teddy bear for royal baby Archie and sweet gifts from children

New parents commonly receive tons of gifts from family, friends and well-wishers, and that’s also true for new royal parents! Prince Harry was overwhelmed with presents and love from patients and children at the Oxford Children’s Hospital on May 14, as he stepped out in one of his first events since the birth of his son, Archie Harrison last week. Daisy Wingrove, a former patient, gifted him a special teddy bear for his little boy, and Harry seemed very touched by the present!

Once inside, Harry met with some patients at the hospital, and took some time to get in a good play session with dinosaurs with this young boy. We bet he can’t wait to get in a similar session with Archie!

Harry showed off the ease he’s always had with children, along with his quirky sense of humour, as he pretended to eat a balloon animal while visiting this little boy.

Speaking to parents at the hospital, Harry reportedly told one person that he already cannot imagine his life without little Archie. Aww!

Harry also visited with a little boy who recently had treatment at the hospital.

The Duke of Sussex also took time to listen to some music with Esme, which was partly created by her, while at the children’s hospital.

Later in the day, Harry visited the Barton Neighbourhood Centre, and received a welcome worthy of a total rockstar from the adoring royals watchers outside.

Those who greeted the duke presented him with dozens of cards, many of which had been home made. It’s clear Harry’s fans really care for him and put plenty of time into crafting wishes for the new dad!

He seemed overjoyed with what he received, and we’re pretty sure he and Duchess Meghan are going to need an entire room at Frogmore Cottage for all the cards and gifts they’ve received after Archie’s birth!

Prior to visiting the Barton Neighbourhood Centre, Harry was off to the OXSRAD Disability Centre, where he dropped in to a therapy session and got the chance to ask several participants about their experiences there.

Harry and a participant also shared a moment of joy. We wonder what he said that was so funny. Look at her laugh!

Disability-related issues are important to Harry, who founded the Invictus Games to help wounded, injured and disabled veterans and armed service members participate in sport. He was keen to hear how therapy is improving patients’s lives at the centre!

Harry has a personal connection to the centre, which was opened by his late mother, Princess Diana in 1989.
