The Cambridge kids are likely over-the-moon about becoming big cousins to Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal baby, Archie Harrison. Prince William and Kate have already met the newest member of the family, but their adorable trio – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – likely haven’t yet!
Kensington Palace hasn’t confirmed whether Kate and William met Archie, but it seems the kids will have to wait a little longer before getting their first playdate with with their new cousin. On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly made time to travel back to Windsor to meet the royal baby, despite having separate engagements that day – with Kate visiting Bletchley Park and William at a United for Wildlife meeting.
Since their engagements finished toward the end of the day, it’s very likely it was simply too late for their children to join them on their first visit with Archie. After all, George and Charlotte are both in school, and Louis probably has a very early bedtime! They were certainly sad to have to wait a bit longer to meet their cousin, but it was likely a welcomed quiet visit that allowed the Cambridges to give the new mom and dad their two cents and parenting tips.
Little Archie was welcomed into the world on May 6, after his parents decided to keep most of the birthing plans private. Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are enjoying the first few weeks with their first child in peace, with Harry going on the odd royal engagement. While Kate and William were out, so was Prince Harry – he stopped by the Oxford Children's Hospital, where he shared some very sweet details about being a parent for the first time.
