Rain, rain, go away, come again another d– the show must go on! Britain gets a lot of rain and heading outside in the middle of a shower (or storm) is something to which the UK’s residents are well-accustomed.
Last week’s Buckingham Palace garden party saw clear, sunny skies, but today was cloudy with a chance of a downpour. But that didn’t prevent Prince Harry from attending Wednesday’s (May 29) event with his grandmother, the Queen.
Earlier in the day, Harry made his way from Windsor to London, where he met with the ICC Cricket World Cup team captains before the ICC Cricket World Cup kicks off on Thursday. England and Wales are hosting this year’s tournament, and Harry and the Queen held a special event for the heads of all 10 teams at the palace.

After taking a photo with the smiling gents, Her Majesty and her grandson headed outdoors to greet guests on the lawn. The Queen looked happy in pink, despite the weather, while Harry looked positively dashing in a top hat and suit. Both carried umbrellas in case the sky opened up.
They were accompanied by sisters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who looked beautiful in a floral print and beige dresses, respectively. Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, also made an appearance in a floral frock with a white jacket and blue hat.
This was the third Buckingham Palace garden party of the year. Duchess Kate and Prince William were on hand for last week’s event, while the first of the season was hosted by Prince Charles and attended by his wife, Duchess Camilla, and sister, Princess Anne, while the Queen was in Windsor.
