Duchess Meghan reportedly went to school with a very famous Hollywood star

Before Duches Meghan ever imagined becoming the Duchess of Sussex, she was a budding actress attending New York’s Little Red School House. The elite primary school’s education rings in at US$22,700 a year, and it definitely attracted the attention of an equally elite crew – including Meghan’s starry peer, Scarlett Johansson.

In Andrew Norton’s book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, it was revealed the new mom was in a number of school plays, including playing the main part in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Avengers star Scarlett was, at the time, just a small part of the chorus – but she obviously went on to become one of Hollywood’s most famous faces! Ironically, Andrew writes, Scarlett wasn’t chosen to play a starring role in the play. Some revelations from the book were recently published in The Times.

Scarlett, 34, has had a number of royal run-ins since becoming a huge star. She met Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at the royal film premiere for the film The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), in which she portrayed Mary, Anne Boleyn’s sister. She also reportedly rubbed shoulders with Prince Harry at a nightclub called Mahiki, as reported in the book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love.

The mom of one has also drawn parallels between her experience fighting off paparazzi and the tragic story of Princess Diana’s death.

“The paparazzi consistently go to increasingly dangerous lengths to stalk and harass the people they are photographing,” she said during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live in April. “Even after Princess Diana’s tragic death, the laws were never changed to protect targets from the lawless paparazzi.

“Until paparazzi are considered by the law for the criminal stalkers they are, it’s just a waiting game before another person gets seriously injured or killed, like Princess Diana.”
