Princess Charlotte can hardly wait to join Prince George at St. Thomas’s Battersea this fall! The mom of three revealed how her daughter feels about starting school while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were out in Cumbria on Tuesday (June 11).
It’s a big milestone for the the middle Cambridge child, as she prepares to level up from Willcocks Nursery School in London. Kate stopped to chat with numerous children and parents that day, one of them being Helen Jones, who opened up to HELLO! UK about the conversation she had with the royal.
“She said Charlotte was looking forward to school. She was very friendly,” Helen gushed.
Given Princess Charlotte’s bright and bubbly personality, it’s no wonder she’s looking forward to starting this new chapter. The young girl has many interests and hobbies, including ballet, which Prince George takes at the school.
The four-year-old will have more than a few other kids to play with on the playground! Along with her big brother, her cousin Maud Windsor will be there, too. Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman’s daughter took part in Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank last October.
Just like Prince William and Duchess Kate did for George on his first day, it’s likely the couple will release adorable portraits of Charlotte starting her academic year. Many royal watchers will remember the sweet snaps of George holding hands with his dad as he shyly met the headmaster of the school.
To ring in Charlotte’s first day at nursery school in January 2018, Kate took her spot behind the lens to get a few Kodak moments of her daughter in a bright red Amaia coat.
