It’s always sweet when celebrities and royals collide!

Ed Sheeran and Prince Edward shared their mutual love of cricket on Tuesday (June 25). The two were spotted chatting and even taking selfies in the stands of the England vs Australia match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

It’s certain Prince Edward’s kids – Lady Louise Windsor, 15, and 11-year-old James, Viscount Severn – may have been a bit jealous of their dad's afternoon! But it looks like the Queen’s youngest child got a quick picture with the singer to take home to his family.

Like most members of the Royal Family, the 55-year-old has been hard at work tending to his royal duties. Just recently, the father of two attended the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards at Buckingham Palace, with his wife, the Countess of Wessex, and their niece, Princess Eugenie, by his side.

Eugenie, who exchanged vows with Jack Brooksbank in October 2018, shared some sweet photos from the event.

“Honoured to join my Uncle and Aunt, The Earl and Countess of Wessex today at Buckingham Palace to hand out @dofeuk Gold Awards. It was fantastic to meet all the young men and women who have achieved so much,” she wrote on Instagram.
