Duchess Meghan may be a royal now, but her TV career isn’t over yet!
Both Patrick J. Adams and his on-screen wife, Meghan (who played Rachel Zane), said goodbye to Suits after its seventh season, but the two will be involved in the paralegal hit’s final series of episodes.
“For [my character] Mike [Ross], this is just a trip to New York,” Patrick revealed to Entertainment Tonight. “He’s in Seattle, they [Mike and Rachel] are building their life together. It sounds like he’s doing well.”

Fans sadly won’t get to see new mom Meghan actually appear on screen, but her character will be mentioned.
“It seems to me like Mike’s in a great place,” Patrick teased. “Whatever is happening in Seattle is really good. There’s phone calls with Rachel saying, ‘Goodbye, I love you,’ and, you know, I think there’s some obvious acknowledgment that she’s still there and a part of the show.”
It’s clear Patrick and Meghan’s lives are just as happy on screen as they are off! They’ve both got a head start with the beautiful beginnings of their own families – with Prince Harry and Meghan having just welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison, and Patrick having just welcomed a baby in 2018 after saying “I do” to Troian Bellisario in 2016.
“Yeah, it’s weird. We all have kids now,” the dad to one gushed to ET. “It’s fantastic. I mean, it just changes everything in your life. It gives you a new purpose.”
Patrick and his Pretty Little Liars alum wife attended Meghan and Harry’s stunning royal wedding back in May 2018. The made a very dapper duo, with the Suits star wearing a black morning suit and the actress dazzling in peach-pink for the special day.
“I wish Meghan all the best,” Patrick said. “I’m really happy for them.”
Suits hits the silver screen for its final season on July 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
