There’s no doubt the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a wonderful fan base, and after Archie Harrison was born they wanted to show their thanks!
Meghan and Harry have likely been inundated with thousands of congratulatory cards after the birth of their firstborn. They made sure to mail off some sweet thank you cards, featuring one of the beautiful photos taken on Archie’s debut day at Windsor Castle. One fan, Bradley Donovan-Baird, shared the card on his Instagram, @loopycrown3.
The heartwarming snap features the elated duke and duchess, holding their baby, walking through the Windsor Castle doors.
“Thank you postcard from TRH the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, thanking me for sending my good wishes on the birth of their son,” Bradley captioned the photo.
On the back of the postcard, the message reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex greatly appreciate you taking the time to write and celebrate the birth of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. Their Royal Highnesses have been incredibly touched by all of the warm wishes they have received during this especially joyful time in their lives. They send their best wishes and heartfelt thanks.”
Interestingly, Harry and Meghan chose to leave Archie’s middle name out, instead referring to him as Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. His middle name, Harrison, is a nod to his dad, Harry.
The two-month-old bundle of joy was christened in an intimate ceremony at the Private Chapel in Windsor Castle, in front of less than 25 guests. The couple chose to keep his godparents a secret, and banned press from taking photos before and after the festivities. But Harry and Meghan released two heartwarming snaps just hours after he was christened.
