‘My princess’: Here’s what Beyoncé and Jay-Z said to Meghan and Harry at ‘The Lion King’ premiere

On Sunday, a duchess met the queen of pop when Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry attended the European premiere of The Lion King and Meghan and Beyoncé hugged each other.

After saying hello, the two couples could be seen speaking to each other at the red carpet event at London’s Leicester Square – and we now know what they said!

Beyoncé reportedly called Meghan “my princess” while hugging her, told her it was nice to meet her and then complimented her on the birth of Archie Harrison, saying, “that baby is so beautiful,” according to numerous videos posted online. Multiple other outlets report Queen Bey continued to gush and told Harry and Meghan that she and Jay-Z “love you guys.”

Harry then entered the conversation, and told Beyoncé, “You’ve been rather busy,” in his typical dry style.

“Congrats on the birth of your baby,” Jay-Z then reportedly told him.

Harry then commented that little Archie is growing up quite quickly, and is already holding his neck up, according to HELLO! UK.

At that point, the pairs bonded over parenting when Harry asked about Rumi and Sir, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins.

“They are not here,” Beyoncé told him, according to Entertainment Tonight. “They don’t come on every trip. We left them at home. They would love to have been here.”

At that point, Jay-Z decided to offer the new parents some advice, saying “Always find time for yourself.”

Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy Carter, her seven-year-old daughter, to the world premiere of The Lion King last week, and Blue was reportedly a hit with everyone there! Canadian funnyman Seth Rogen and Donald Glover – who star in the film as Pumbaa and Simba, respectively – said Blue knew the movie so well that she was narrating it throughout the entire screening.

Meghan and Harry left Archie at home on Sunday evening, but Meghan brought him out for his first public appearance last week, when she and Archie attended a charity polo match in which Harry and Prince William were playing. Archie slept nestled in his mother’s arms while his cousins Prince George and Princess Charlotte played soccer and Prince Louisstole the show by putting on mom Duchess Kate’s sunglasses!

We’ve seen Meghan out lots this month already, in addition to the two aforementioned appearances. At the end of June, she and Harry made a surprise appearance at an MLB game in London. She also stepped out to Wimbledon twice during the tennis championships to support good friend Serena Williams, including a hotly-anticipated outing with Kate at the women’s singles final on Saturday.
