The Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge are closer than ever – and according to reports, the shared experience of motherhood has brought them together.

“There is a sense of [Meghan and Kate’s] relationship strengthening,” a royal source tells People.

The insider added the pair are more relaxed with each another and “have more in common” now that the former Suitsstar has welcomed her first-born Archie Harrison into the world.

“Coming from different backgrounds, I think, they have more the makings of a team than people imagined,” royal expert Robert Lacey went on to tell the publication. “And they have a common interest as partners to [Prince Harry and Prince William] who are so crucial to the monarchy, along with their children.”

The royal duo has attended several events together over the past month. Last week, they stepped out to a charity polo match alongside their kids – Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 and two-month-old Archie. The baby boy slept soundly in his mother’s arms, while George and Charlotte played soccer and ate snacks with Kate and Louis, who entertained his mom and Meghan by stealing Kate’s sunglasses and sticking his tongue out.

It makes sense that Meghan and Kate would spend so much time together, since Kate is such a great mother, and has plenty of advice to pass on. It’s great that mg

“It’s a friendship that is still slowly blossoming,” another source noted to the outlet. “Kate has gone out of her way to be friendly to Meghan, and Meghan has been very grateful for that.”
