The Cambridges are officially on summer holiday until September, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be out of the public eye until then.
In between enjoying some quality time with their three children – Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 – the duo will host The King’s Cup regatta to raise awareness and funds for eight of their patronages.
The royal duo aren’t opposed to a healthy dose of competition, and this won’t be the first time they’ve faced off against one another to highlight how activity can improve physical and mental wellbeing. In March, the pair battled each other in a canoe race in Northern Ireland, they took part in a boat race in Germany in 2017 and they also competed against each other in a dragon boat race in Canada in 2011!
It’s not yet known how the duke and duchess will spend their month-and-a-half break, save for a family trip to their beloved Mustique. The pair are believed to have jetted off to the private Caribbean island after attending Wimbledon and just before Prince George’s sixth birthday on Monday (July 22). This will be the second year in a row the family has celebrated the future King’s birthday by enjoying some quality beach time together.
Reports suggest the Cambridges will also undertake a traditional trip to Balmoral in Scotland to spend time with the Queenand Prince Philip as well as enjoy some time at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk, England.
