If you’ve ever dreamt of summering like a royal, now’s your chance! A cozy cottage next to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Norfolk home of Anmer Hall is up for rent, and it could be yours for the modest price of $1,126 a month.
The two-bedroom property, known as 20 Cherry Tree, has lush, green landscapes and comes with one bathroom and parking.
The only catch is you may need to move to the region to snap up the rental. The property’s website says it prioritizes renting to those who contribute to the small community that’s about an hour outside of London.
“Properties are not let on a first come, first served basis, but rather on which prospective tenant is best suited to the property,” they note.
There are also a couple of key warnings on the site. “Please be aware that this property has steep stairs,” the website notes. It also says Sandringham Estate has a “strict no cats policy. Dogs will be considered on a house by house basis.”
Since the cozy cottage is located directly across the street from Prince William and Duchess Kate’s property, it’s also very secure. The pair were gifted the 10-bedroom mansion on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate after they tied the knot in 2010. Since then, they’ve summered there regularly and even used it as a residence after having Prince George.
It’s believed the family of five will spend some time there this summer – at least after they visit the Queen and Prince Philip at Balmoral Castle. The visit is traditional for the Royal Family , given Her Majesty spends much of her summer at the estate, where she tends to matters of the Commonwealth and hosts a few public engagements.
