The mom of three chose the label’s Carnation dress for the event, which she paired with a black belt and high heels. She wore her hair down and also had a huge smile as she held her daughter’s hand.
Charlotte couldn’t hide her happiness as she and Kate were joined by big brother Prince George and dad Prince William for Charlotte’s start at Thomas’s Battersea. George has been a student there since 2017. The four-year-old princess was decked out in the school’s uniform, wearing a skirt, red and blue cardigan and blouse underneath and dress shoes.
Kate beamed as her little girl was introduced to Helen Haslam, head of the lower school, and looked incredibly proud of her two children. The duchess was not able to drop George off for his first day at Thomas’s Battersea in 2017 because she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, while she was pregnant with Prince Louis.
Today marks Kate and William’s return to work after a summer break that included a trip to Mustique to celebrate George’s sixth birthday and a visit to Balmoral to spend time with the Queen and Prince Philip. The couple took a brief break from their holidays to take part in the inaugural King’s Cup regatta, at which cheeky Charlotte made royal watchers chuckle as she stuck her tongue out at grandpa Michael Middleton as she spotted him in a crowd!
Next month, Kate and William are set to embark on a tour of Pakistan. More information should be announced soon.
