Princess Beatrice is a ‘fantastic step-mummy’ to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s son

By Zach Harper

When Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi marry next year, they’ll be part of a family of three!

Her 35-year-old fiancé is a dad, and has a son named Christopher, whom he shares with former girlfriend Dara Huang. Christopher is a big part of Edoardo’s life, since the businessman is a committed and caring father, so it makes sense that he would pick a partner who the three-year-old would really love – and vice versa! It sounds like Edo has found just that person in Beatrice.

In the year she and Edoardo have been dating, Beatrice has become close with Christopher, to the point that he already considers her to be his step-parent. How lovely!

“Edo is easily one of the best dads,” a source told People. “He is so involved, he is so committed to this little boy, and Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mummy already. They’ve been on family vacations together already. They are really happy. There’s no better person they could have for a step-mummy.”

Beatrice hopes to have her own children with Edoardo, her friends have told the publication, and we’re certainly glad to hear that Christopher will feel at home in their blended family. The little boy spends half his time with his mom and half his time with his dad, People says, pointing out that Edoardo takes care of him when Dara is on business work in Hong Kong.

Just after Beatrice and Edoardo announced their engagement, Dara released a statement saying how happy she was for the couple.

“I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families,” she said.

The Palace has yet to announce a marriage date for Beatrice and Edoardo, but we do know it will take place in 2020 and more details will be announced shortly.
