Gorgeous in green! Duchess Kate honours Pakistan with special look on Day 2 of royal tour

By Zach Harper

Duchess Kate stepped out to lunch with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan, looking graceful and elegant as ever in a special outfit that paid tribute to the country.

The Duchess of Cambridge chose a green tunic by Catherine Walker, white pants from Pakistani designer Maheen Khan, a patterned green scarf from Satrangi, and navy heels for the visit. She again showcased earrings by Pakistani designer Zeen, and kept her hair half down and half up. Prince William also looked spiffy, choosing a navy suit for the event.

From there, the royal couple met with Pakistani President Arif Alvi and his wife Samina at their official residence in Islamabad. Kate looked relaxed and happy as she chatted with Samina and Arif. Following their meetings with the president and prime minister, the couple were expected to attend a special reception in Islamabad. We can’t help but wonder if we’ll see Kate’s third look in a day!

In the morning, the duchess chose a blue kurta – a traditional outfit consisting of a loose-fitting collared shirt with matching trousers. Her embroidered look was also by Maheen Khan, and she paired it with Zeen earrings and nude Russell & Bromley flats. She and William stepped out to a school to hear about how the Teach for Pakistan program – a teacher training program modelled on a similar UK initiative – had been helping students in Islamabad.

From there, the couple headed to the Margalla hills to learn about how the country is working toward UN Sustainable Development Goals and the conservation work it is doing. They got a good look at a camera that monitors leopards, and also spent more time with some adorable kids.

The night before, Kate looked breathtaking in an ombre turquoise bespoke Catherine Walker shalwar kameez – a traditional outfit combining a dress with trousers – as she got off the plane with William.

We’re already so impressed with her tour wardrobe and we can’t wait to see what the next three days will bring in terms of her sartorial choices!
