Prince William and Duchess Kate’s hilarious response to Camila Cabello’s Kensington Palace ‘theft’

By Zach Harper

You might say Prince William and Duchess Kate – or whoever is running the Kensington Palace Twitter account – have a royally good sense of humour!

Bad puns aside, you’ll love the response from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after rising star Camila Cabello recently confessed she stole something from their home. The 22-year-old was visiting Kensington Palace to meet winners of BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards with DJ Greg James, who “triple-doggy-dared” her to take... a pencil.

But the joke was on Camila because as soon as she put it in her mother’s handbag, Greg told the royal couple of the pop star’s klepotomaniacal act!

“My mum was like, ‘No, we have to give it back, we have to give back the pencil,’ and I was like, ‘No, he triple-doggy-dared me, I have to take the pencil,’ so I still have it,” she said on the Breakfast Show on Nov. 26. “I’m sorry, William and I’m sorry, Kate,” she laughed.

But the story wasn’t over yet because when BBC Radio 1 tweeted about it, Kensington Palace replied in the best possible way: with a single emoji, which you can see below!

We are thrilled to see Kensington Palace got in on this very funny joke! But we want to know... what has she done with the pencil? Does she still have it? Maybe she should frame it or something... Has Shawn Mendes seen it? We guess she could always mail it back? We have so many questions...
