Prince William, Duchess Kate and Mary Berry have won the hearts of royal fans thanks to the A Berry Royal Christmas TV special, which aired in the UK on Dec. 16. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also scored the approval of the baking legend with her thoughtfully describing them as a “pigeon couple.”

“It was just lovely observing them for those three days,” said Mary while discussing filming the holiday television special with the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine. “When they are together, he's constantly touching her arm and looking over at her smiling and she's the same with him. It was very sweet to see because it was so natural.”

How adorable!

“They really are a pigeon couple,” continued the cookbook author, seemingly referencing the idea that pigeons are birds that mate for life.

“I was so impressed,” Mary continued on seeing the royal couple together and in the kitchen during the one-hour special.

“It was easy to see that William is very proud of Catherine,” she added.
