Happy Birthday, Duchess Kate! The mom-of-three celebrated her 38th birthday on Jan. 9 and Kensington Palace delighted royal fans by releasing a portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge on Instagram and Twitter.
The lovely portrait was taken by Matt Porteous. In it, Kate wears an elegant grey sweater with a blue-and-white check shirt underneath. She rounds out her look with blue skinny jeans and her sapphire and diamond engagement ring.
As per usual, the duchess looks absolutely beautiful, with her brunette hair parted slightly on the side and falling in a soft, full style around her shoulders.
She is beaming and looking off into the distance. Kate is also sitting on a gate and enjoying the sunny weather outside. It is believed the breathtaking shot was taken at Anmer Hall, Prince William and Kate's country home in Norfolk.
"Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday!" the post's caption reads.
Matt is one of the British Royal Family's favourite photographers. He has captured many of their milestones, including photos of William, Kate and Mary Berry for the A Very Berry Christmas special. He also shot Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at Duchess Kate's Back To Nature Garden at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show.
Ahead of her birthday, Kate and William attended church with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as some of her and William's friends, including Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley and her husband David, Tom van Straubenzee and fiancée Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, and James Meade and his wife Laura.
