Duchess Meghan signed voiceover deal with Disney in exchange for donation to elephant charity, report says

Duchess Meghan is a passionate conservationist and environmentalist, and has signed a deal with Disney to do a voiceover in exchange for a donation to a charity that works to protect elephants, a new report says.
The Duchess of Sussex recorded the voiceover before she and
Prince Harry left on their six-week break from royal duties, according to The Times. Meghan asked for a donation to be made to Elephants Without Borders, which works to protect the animals from poaching.
Harry and Meghan have a history with the organization. In 2017, when they travelled to Botswana together earlier in their relationship, the couple helped Elephants Without Borders' Dr.
Mike Chase on a conservation effort. Photos from that trip and their experience with an elephant were posted on their Instagram last year in connection with World Elephant Day.
Harry reconnected with Mike during the Sussexes' tour of southern Africa last year. While in Botswana, he and Mike attended a tree planting event at Chobe National Park in connection with the country's independence day.
Meghan's move is believed to be a strong indication of how the Sussexes plan to move toward becoming "financially independent" – a goal they described in the announcement they were stepping down from their senior royal roles earlier this week.
News of Meghan's deal comes after it was also reported she has returned to Canada, where Archie had been said to be staying with his nanny and with Jessica Mulroney, the duchess' close friend. Harry was said to be following shortly.
On Jan. 9, the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William directed aides to come up with a "workable solution" for the Sussexes to step away from their roles. Talks are said to be "progressing well" in that department, according to a new report from BBC News.
"They, like everyone, are hopeful this can all be worked out, sooner rather than later," a source reportedly told the PA news agency. "It is in everyone's interest for this to be figured out, and figured out quickly, but not at the expense of the outcome."
