Prince Harry opens up about the first time Archie saw snow

By Heather Cichowski

Prince Harry gave an emotional speech at a dinner for supporters of Sentebale in London on Jan. 19 and in it he shared a sweet new anecdote about his son, Archie.

The speech, which was the duke's first following the Queen and Buckingham Palace's statements about the Sussexes' future, touched on some very personal points. He thanked supporters who had been "excited" about the arrival of his first child. Then Harry spoke fondly about Archie seeing snow for the first time!

"...and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time and thought it was bloody brilliant!" he exclaimed.

The Duke of Sussex did not share where his eight-month-old saw the snow, but it has been reported that he is with mom Duchess Meghan in Canada. It is thought the young Sussex family is staying at the same North Saanich, B.C. home where they spent time during their six-week break from royal duties.

Harry also thanked Sentebale for giving him an outlet on which to focus following Princess Diana's death. He and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho founded the charity in 2006 as a way to support HIV-positive children and youth in Lesotho and Botswana.

"It has been our privilege to serve you, and we will continue to lead a life of service," he stated.

"Together, you have given me an education about living. And this role has taught me more about what it is right and just than I could have ever imagined. We are taking a leap of faith - thank you for giving me the courage to take this next step."

The Sussexes released a photo of Archie and his dad to round out 2019. It showed the duo in the great outdoors, possibly in Canada. And the adorable shot was reportedly taken by Meghan!
