The royal and celebrity weddings we're most looking forward to in 2020

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
The most anticipated wedding of the year is undoubtedly that of Princess Beatrice, 31, to her property-tycoon fiancé Edoardo, 36.
"We are so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together," they said upon announcing their engagement last fall.
The couple are set to wed at St. James's Palace in London on May 29, followed by an alfresco reception hosted by the bride's grandmother, the Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
"It's going to feel very different from previous royal weddings," a source told Hello!. "It's very much their wish that it is more private."
The Chapel Royal, where the couple will say their vows, can accommodate 150 guests and has been the scene of several major royal events over the years, including the christenings of Prince George in 2013 and Prince Louis in 2018.
The Queen will lead an impressive list of senior royals at the wedding, with the couple's show-business pals expected to jet in from around the world. Last summer, Beatrice and Edo were at the star-studded weddings of Ellie Goulding and fashion designer Misha Nonoo and they count Kate Moss, Ed Sheeran and supermodel Karlie Kloss as close pals. Singer Robbie Williams is also expected – his daughter, Theodora, as a flower girl at Princess Eugenie's Windsor wedding in 2018. Returning the favour to her older sister, Eugenie is expected to be maid of honour, while Edu's three-year-old son, Christopher, will likely attend with his mom, Dara Huang.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
"One year ago I said yes to a life of love and evolution... and definitely never a dull moment," pop star Katy, 35, posted for Valentine's Day, reminding fans that it was 12 months earlier that her Hollywood heartthrob beau, Orlando Bloom, asked her to marry him. And her ring – a glittering flower-shaped array of diamonds centred on a stunning ruby – is still proudly on display.
While the couple have yet to reveal their wedding date, Katy hinted on Jimmy Kimmel Live that it's been set for quite some time.
"I'm actually not a bridezilla," she insisted to Jimmy. "I call myself a bridechilla. I'm kinda chill. But I am one of those girls where I got engaged Feb. 14 and I booked the place Feb. 19. I take it very seriously!"
This will be the second trip down the aisle for both stars. Katy wed comedian Russell Brand in 2010, the same year Orlando, now 43, married model Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares nine-year-old son Flynn. Having attended some of last year's biggest celebrity nuptials, they're clearly ready to follow suit in 2020.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
They're friends with the über-rich and über-famous, most recently rubbing elbows with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan in Miami, so it's safe to say the wedding of J.Lo and A-Rod will be one of the biggest show-business events of 2020.
Following their engagement last spring during a romantic getaway in the the Bahamas, the couple have been in wedding-planning mode – taking a breather for awards season (Jennifer, 50, was nominated multiple times for her role in Hustlers) and Super Bowl LIV's half-time show (rocked by Jennifer and Shakira).
"When you think about wedding plans and Jennifer is your partner, all you do is a lot of nodding," said Alex, 44. "We're enjoying the process so much and Jennifer is such an amazing producer... When she tells me to show up, I'll be there!"
The couple's four children from previous marriages – her 12-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and Alex's daughters Natasha, 15, and Ella, 11 – are expected to play starring roles in the nuptials, with the bride-to-be letting slip that her son will likely walk her up the aisle.
Although the location has yet to be revealed, the thrice-wed actress and singer has dropped a hint of the style she has in mind.
"I'd like a big wedding," she said. "And I'd like to get married in a church this time. I've never been married in a church!"

Emma Stone and Dave McCary
Just call it Crazy, Stupid, Love! Emma surprised fans late last year when her boyfriend of two years, Dave, revealed their engagement on Instagram. Showing off her dazzling ring, the 31-year-old Oscar winner looked ecstatic.
The La La Land actress first met her Prince Charming while hosting Saturday Night Live in 2016. Emma starred in a sketch helmed by Dave, 34, a segment director on the show, and the rest, as they say, is history. They began dating in 2017 and got engaged two years later. Despite keeping their romance relatively private, the two decided to declare their impending nuptials on his Instagram account, accompanying the photo with a double heart emoji.
While her professional career has always run smoothly, the path to true love hasn't always been quite so smooth for the lovably-caustic redhead who rose to fame in 2010's Easy A. She was previously in an on-off relationship with her co-star in The Amazing Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, before they finally split in 2015. And Emma herself admits her priorities have only recently shifted toward a husband and family.
"As a teenager, I was like, 'I'm never getting married, I'm never having kids,'" she has said. "And then I got older and I was like, 'I really want to get married, I really want to have kids!'"

James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet
The Duchess of Cambridge is surely looking forward to celebrating her little brother's special day! The youngest of the Middleton clan, James, 32, took to Instagram last fall to announce his excitement after proposing to financial analyst Alizee, 30.
"She said oui!" he happily wrote next to a snap of the pair sharing a sweet embrace in front of a magnificent mountain backdrop.
"Our secret is out, but we couldn't be happier to share the news," he added before signing off with the hashtag #jalizee (which is their two names combined).
Taken at the popular Lake District, a holiday destination in northwest England that's also a favourite of Kate's, the engagement photo showcased Alizee's stunning sparkler, which – similar to her future sister-in-law's – features a big sapphire in an emerald cut.
The couple met in 2018 after Alizee petted James's cocker spaniel, Ella, at London's South Kensington Club. They have yet to set a wedding date, but it's safe to assume canines will play a central role in their wedding day.
James, who is the last of the three siblings to wed (Pippa, 36, married James Matthews in 2017), recently revealed in a Vanity Fair Spain piece that at least a few of their nine furry friends will be included in the ceremony.
"I still don't know which one, but they will be one of the keys that day," he said, adding that the wedding will be "as private as possible" and full of dancing and fun.
"We are in the phase before we start planning everything, just enjoying the process."
One thing's for sure: They've each received a warm welcome from their respective in-laws. The lovebirds have vacationed in St. Bart's with his parents, Carole and Michael, as well as with Pippa and her husband, while Alizee's father seems equally content with the union.
"My daughter Alizee is very happy with James, they are very much in love," Jean-Gabriel Thevenet told Britain's Daily Mail before the pair announced their engagement. "We have a lot of admiration for the whole Middleton family – James, his sisters and his parents."
As do we!

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost
Proving, like Emma, that smart women love a great sense of humour, Scarlett can't keep the smile off her face whenever she steps out with Saturday Night Live head writer Colin.
Announcing their engagement last May, the 35-year-old Avengers star was all a-flutter over the "James Bond" style in which Colin, 37, popped the question.
"He killed it," she said. "He's very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. I was surprised."
The mother of one – Scarlett shares daughter Rose, 5, with her French journalist ex-husband, Romain Dauriac – has found a supportive partner in Colin. He accompanied her throughout an awards season that saw her nominated for her roles in both Jojo Rabbit and Marriage Story. Indeed, the two have become red carpet mainstays since going public in 2017. Sparks first flew on the set of SNL, which Scarlett has hosted six times, and the fun-loving actress is clearly overjoyed to have finally found her soulmate.
"I think, more than anything, when someone tells you they want to spend this life with you, that's a lovely, special thing," she has said.
This will be the first marriage for Colin and the third for Scarlett, who was previously wed to Canadian Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds until their separation in 2011.
