Fáilte roimh Éirinn! Welcome to Ireland, Duchess Kate and Prince William! The couple landed in Ireland on March 3 to begin their first official tour of the country, and as usual, Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous!
This time, Kate honoured the Emerald Isle by wearing a mix of varying shades of green as she departed the Aer Lingus plane at Dublin International Airport. The mom of three was outfitted in a rich forest green Catherine Walker coat with a brighter emerald green printed dress by Alessandra Rich visible beneath the long-line topper.
She accessorized with a vibrant suede emerald green L.K. Bennett clutch, deep forest green pumps and a black padded headband for an on-trend finish.
The mom of three's brunette locks were worn completely down, flowing around her shoulders in her signature voluminous style. She accessorized with a padded headband and diamond earrings from Asprey London. Natural, soft makeup completed the striking look.
Kate's ensemble had plenty of charm, and it caught the eye as soon she departed the aircraft.
The duchess has worn Alessandra Rich a few times in the past. You might remember she wore one of the designer's beautiful red frocks, which she adjusted by having a pussybow sewn on its front, on her Mary Berry Christmas special with William back in December.
The duchess also chose a stunning blue Alessandra Rich dress with white polka dots for a May 2019 visit to Bletchley Park. Keen royal watchers will remember she also wore the beautiful number in Prince Charles's 70th birthday portrait taken in 2018.
The duke and duchess were quickly whisked away to a meeting with the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, at Áras an Uachtaráin, his official workplace and residence. Inside, Kate and William removed their coats, giving royals fans a glimpse of the exquisite pleated detail, ornate buttons and swirling print on Kate's Alessandra Rich dress. The statement piece likely won't be forgotten!
Royals fans can expect to see plenty more of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The couple are touring Ireland from March 3 to March 5. The royal tour of the Emerald Isle, which is their first official one, will see them step out to multiple places including Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare and Galway. The tour is focused on strengthening the relationship between Ireland and the UK.
It is likely that we will see Kate wearing green again during their series of royal engagements. Not only does the duchess look absolutely beautiful in the shade, the colour is also a lovely tribute to Ireland.
