Adorable little royals back when they were just five years old, from the Queen to Princess Charlotte

Do you remember being five? Probably, right? It was likely a big year in your life. You would have started kindergarten, started reading or perhaps moved on to reading books for bigger kids, maybe even started playing sports, taking music lessons and swimming. It's a milestone age for kids, and Princess Charlotte turned five this past weekend.
The moment was marked by Duchess Kate and Prince William releasing four sweet portraits in honour of their daughter's birthday. It really does seem like just yesterday that Charlotte's big brother, Prince George, also turned five!
So to celebrate, we thought we'd take a look back at our favourite royals when they were the same age. How many of these moments do you remember? Time really has flown!

Prince Charles
The future Prince of Wales has always loved Balmoral, and posed for this adorable picture of him standing on a window ledge the summer before he turned five. We have some questions: Was he going in the window? Coming out?

Five years later, a very blonde Princess Anne had lots of fun playing with the family dogs at Balmoral in 1955.

Prince George
GOSH! William and Duchess Kate's eldest son couldn't believe what his cousin Savannah told him at Princess Eugenie's wedding in 2018... or perhaps he covered his mouth at something *he* had said. Either way, too cute!

Princess Charlotte
To celebrate her fifth birthday, Duchess Kate and Prince William released sweet pictures of their daughter volunteering!
The photos, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, show Charlotte helping pack food donations for vulnerable and elderly people near Sandringham and later delivering them!
It was a lovely moment for royal watchers to see how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are raising their children to give back.
