Duchess Meghan strikes a casual vibe in denim shirt in Archie's sweet birthday video
By Heather Cichowski
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan celebrated their son Archie's first birthday on May 6 by sharing a sweet video of the birthday boy's mom reading to him.
In the clip, which was posted to Save the Children UK's Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex is seen wearing a casual denim shirt, believed to be from J.Crew.
The former Suits actress's dark hair was fashioned into a high, relaxed bun and she had a very natural makeup look that showcased her skin's radiance.
The duchess had the sleeves of her denim chambray shirt casually rolled up, which revealed a collection of beaded and gold bracelets on her right wrist and her wedding rings on her left hand. When the camera panned out, it appeared that Meghan was wearing beige shorts or a shorter skirt.
Birthday boy Archie was clad in a white short-sleeved baby grow.
J. Crew recently filed for bankruptcy in the coronavirus pandemic. It's thought Meghan wearing their shirt might be a gesture of support for the brand during this difficult time. That would make sense, since the style maven has a habit of boosting labels she loves.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son recently relocated to California and it is believed the family is residing in Los Angeles, Meghan's hometown, so the outfits are also perfect for the state's sunny climate and laid back vibe.
In the adorable video, Meghan read Duck! Rabbit! to her excitable son as he smiled and giggled. It was a wonderful moment to see mother and son bonding to mark his milestone.

Royals fans last saw Meghan at the end of April, when a video was shared of the Zoom call she had with a job interviewee, who was one of her patronage's Smart Works' clients. In the video, the mom of one was dressed elegantly in a burgundy V-neck sweater and pendant necklace. Her dark hair was pulled back into a half updo and styled straight.
