Duchess Kate looks lovely in yellow nature-inspired dress in surprise video call

Duchess Kate made a surprise appearance on This Morning on May 7 to launch an exciting Hold Still 2020 photography portrait project in association with her role as patron of the National Portrait Gallery. During the interview, she radiated beauty in a yellow tree-print dress from Raey.

The Duchess of Cambridge chatted with This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the project related to the coronavirus pandemic. It will focus on three core themes: Helpers and Heroes, Your New Normal and Acts of Kindness.

The style maven looked lovely in the Raey Bracelet Sleeve Acid Tree-Print Silk Dress, which featured a playful brown, pink and light green tree print. The spring dress had a round neck, bracelet-length sleeves and a draped silhouette.

The style was crafted in the UK and was once available for US$540 on MATCHESFASHION, but it has since gone on sale... and unsurprisingly, it is now sold out!

Kate's outfit choice showed her support for local brands because the Raey dress was crafted in the United Kingdom. The label is described on the MATCHESFASHION website as one that creates effortless pieces that feature carefully considered luxury fabrics and crisp silhouettes.

The 38-year-old paired her cheerful nature-inspired dress with her hair styled in her signature voluminous, flowing waves. A touch of eyeliner enhanced her eyes and soft coral lipstick played up her pout.

Kate has been wearing a lot of blue lately, as have many members of the Royal Family, during the coronavirus pandemic. The entire Cambridge family, including Kate, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, all wore the uplifting shade when they memorably clapped for carers on April 23, little Louis's birthday. Their appearance was part of the BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief's Big Night In special to raise funds for fighting COVID-19.

On May 2, the duchess appeared in a video on the Kensington Royal Instagram where she spoke with midwives, parents and experts about the impact of COVID-19. The mom of three donned a cheerful Tabitha Webb blue-and-white chevron sweater and delicate gold hoops to congratulate a new mom. She was then seen in a Boden blue-and-white floral dress paired with what seemed to be Patrick Mavros Ocean Tides Smokey Quartz Earrings.

Whether in blue or yellow, Kate's clothing choices always exude elegance and feature cheerful colours that will hopefully inject a little happiness during these uncertain times.
