Katharine McPhee says husband David Foster and Prince Harry have a 'really, really beautiful relationship'

By Heather Cichowski

Katharine McPhee has opened up about the special relationship husband David Foster has with Prince Harry.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the former American Idol star divulged how the Duke of Sussex has bonded with the Canadian music producer.

"My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry," she revealed.

"They're like, they're so cute," Katharine continued. "They're like father and son."

The singer added after she reconnected with former schoolmate Duchess Meghan, the four of them have been keeping in touch.

"We just stay in touch with them," Katharine elaborated. "But mostly, Meghan and I knew each other from childhood, but really Harry and my husband are friends, so it's really nice."

Katharine's comments come after David reportedly helped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex find the estate in North Saanich, B.C. where they spent their six-week extended break from royal duties and enjoyed "private family time" with Archie earlier this year as they transitioned out of their senior royal royals.

"I felt honoured that I was able to help Meghan there, because I’m a Canadian and we’re a Commonwealth country, we’re the Crown's," David told the Daily Mail in January. "It’s important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment."

Royals fans will know that Harry, Meghan and little Archie have since relocated to Los Angeles, Meghan's hometown and where Doria Ragland, the duchess's mother, lives.

The young family has mostly kept out of the spotlight, but have helped in the battle with COVID-19 by delivering food to people with life-threatening illnesses in the Los Angeles area. On May 6, the duke and duchess celebrated Archie's milestone first birthday by sharing a sweet video via the Save the Children UK Instagram of Meghan reading with her infant son.
