Hello! Canada readers pick their favourite of Duchess Kate's Trooping the Colour looks

By Heather Cichowski

It was a tough choice! Our readers had a difficult time choosing just one standout look in a HELLO! Canada poll of Duchess Kate's best Trooping the Colour outfits! It's understandable given she consistently wows with her style choices!

The Duchess of Cambridge made her debut at Trooping the Colour as a newlywed on June 11, 2011. For the big event, Kate appropriately selected a regal white coat from her wedding gown designer, Alexander McQueen. Since then, the mom of three has attended the annual event without fail.

The style maven has worn Alexander McQueen to numerous Trooping the Colour celebrations, but has also supported other beloved designers, including Catherine Walker and Canadian-born designer Erdem.

We gave HELLO! Canada readers nine different looks to choose from, and they selected Kate's darling pink Alexander McQueen ensemble from 2017 as their top pick. The romantic look featured a long-sleeved dress by the designer topped with a Jane Taylor fascinator. The style won just over 24 per cent of the votes.

Following closely behind was Kate's 2019 Trooping the Colour ensemble, with nearly 20 per cent of the vote. The beautiful pale yellow Alexander McQueen dress with peplum detail is likely still fresh in many people's minds, given it's from the most recent Trooping the Colour ceremony. Kate paired the frock with a floral fascinator from Philip Treacy and pearl earrings.

It's an interesting choice because it is an example of a time Kate has recycled from her closet. She previously wore the hat to the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Trooping the Colour in 2019 was also a special time because it marked Prince Louis's debut.

In third place, we have Kate's very first Trooping the Colour look. The memorable outfit took just over 15 per cent of votes cast. Seeing Kate grinning with new husband Prince William was no doubt a special moment for royals fans. The regal white coat was a perfect pick for a recent bride and her statement-making black hat by Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co was a sophisticated finishing touch.
