Prince William and Duchess Kate make bagels, visit a mosque and job centre in London

Baking was and still is a popular activity during the coronavirus pandemic and COVID-19 lockdown. It was even something the Cambridge family did! On Sept. 15, Duchess Kate and Prince William got to show off their baking skills when they stepped out to try their hand at making bagels at Beigel Bake on London's iconic Brick Lane.
Kate and William's royal engagement in East London today also brought them to the London Bridge Jobcentre and the London Muslim Centre.
The Cambridges were keen to hear how local communities have coped with COVID-19 and what challenges concerning businesses.

At Beigel Bake on Brick Lane, Duchess Kate and Prince William heard about the impact of the coronavirus on the iconic shop. The 24-hour bakery had to reduce its opening hours during the pandemic, but they assisted the community through delivery and donations.

The Cambridges shared a moment at the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel as they visited with volunteers who have supported members of the community during COVID-19 pandemic. The group enjoyed the lovely late summer day.
