According to his father Prince William, the royal tot has learnt how to crawl and his first milk tooth is starting to come through. George is also "doing well" with his weaning, the proud dad said. William was making the revelation as he and his wife Kate Middleton celebrated St Patrick's Day in Aldershot. The first-time parents had travelled to Hampshire on Monday morning to attend the annual parade at Mons Barracks, as they have done for the past three years. William and Kate left George in safe hands at home as they marked the Irish feast day with some 300 soldiers from the 1st Battalion Irish Guards. As they toasted the day and enjoyed a private luncheon with the officers, William also laughed that one baby was "enough at the moment". The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge charmed crowds as they made their first joint appearance of the year. Playing a starring role in the engagement, Kate, 32, was tasked with presenting the traditional springs of shamrock to officers and guardsmen. The mother-of-one looked elegant as ever in an emerald green Hobbs coat and matching Gina Foster hat. Kate paid tribute to St Patrick's Day wearing a gold Cartier shamrock brooch pinned to her chest, which belonged to Queen Alexandra. William, who was attending as Colonel of the regiment and dressed immaculately in military uniform, proudly stood at his wife's side as Kate handed out the shamrocks. Following the march William and Kate — who hold the Irish title of Baron and Lady Carrickfergus — met members of the regiment before joining the officers and sergeants for photographs. The royal couple then visited the Guardsmens' cookhouse and the Officers' Mess where they had the private lunch. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just returned from their holiday in the Maldives, where they were enjoying quality time together. The couple had left baby George at home with his new nanny and Kate's mother Carole Middleton.Read all about Prince George's new nanny here.
